Fiercely Happy

Happiness is my jam.  I love being happy. And I really truly believe that you can be happy too.

I find it interesting that people decide all the time, not to be happy.

Why would anyone do that?

Especially since happiness is within their power, and it's so much easier than you’d think.

The biggest mistake is thinking that situations or circumstances are responsible for creating your happiness.

This is not true. In fact, it’s a powerless position.

The truth is…. you are responsible for your happiness.  You get to choose. This is so important that I take it even further.

I’m COMMITTED to my happiness.  I protect it. I fight for it. I WANT to be happy, so I have chosen to make that super-duper-important in my life.  I’m FIERCE when it comes to being happy.

How about you?  Have you ever wanted something so much that you’ll fight for it?  Why not fight for your happiness? It’s up to you.

Here’s the big secret when it comes to this fight. You might be thinking, well fighting is a struggle, and I don’t want to struggle for happiness.

You are right, you don’t want to struggle.  But, once you’ve decided to commit fiercely to being happy, the struggle actually fades away.  It’s really all about your commitment, and it needs to be firm.

It’s so much easier than you think.  Once you’ve committed, then your mind seeks happiness. Happy thoughts, happy activities, and just think - all the things you love, and the people you love too.

Your mind will seek this out, once you’ve developed the habit.  Your perspective will shift from “nothing works out for me” to “everything works out for me” and the world is just showing up as evidence for that.

Instead of believing that life is hard, or things are too expensive, or people don’t like me, or I can’t do that, or it’s too hot, or she’s not nice, or any complaint or negative statement you can think of…. Blah, blah, blah….

When you’re choosing to be happy, you’re choosing to give everyone and everything the benefit of the doubt.  People and things aren’t working against you, they are working for you.

And you aren’t waiting for things to work out so that you can be happy.

Instead, you’ve chosen to be happy because you see everything working out for your good, wherever you go.

And guess what?  When it doesn’t (because let’s be honest, sometimes things just don’t go your way) then you frame it such that you get to learn from that experience and benefit from that lesson.

Do you see how that works?  Good or bad, life is one happy experience where we get to grow, learn, and serve others in the process.  If we can simply be grateful for all that is happening around us, it brings so much joy.

So, are you ready to commit to your happiness?  It will take some practice, but you can totally do this.  You have to want it, and be willing to shift your mindset.  It’s up to you!

If you need some practice, then take my 21 day happiness challenge.  But beware, you will learn to be happy!
