My Silver Lined Cloud

I have a silver lined cloud, and it’s pretty amazing. I actually didn’t know I had it, until my wedding day when it materialized as a gift from my dad.

You see when my dad “gave me away” in a speech at our wedding dinner, he talked about the Silver Lined Cloud that followed me around. He said I had an ability to always find the good in any situation, and somehow, everything worked out for me. He said It’s like I have a silver lined cloud following me around.

Well guess what, from that point forward that’s exactly what I had, or rather, exactly what I believed. And whatever positivity I possessed growing up, magnified in that moment as I claimed my gift. That cloud was mine, and I had big plans to use it!

Now, I believe, everyone should have such a gift. It profoundly changed my life. I love my cloud and since I’ve shared it with many people and today, I’m sharing it with you.

I can remember times when my sisters would call, sad or burdened with a challenge, and I would simply send them my cloud. It became a symbol of a little piece of magic that could turn any situation around.

You see, you too can borrow my cloud, and I’m giving it to you today! You have the ability to face your challenges head on, and in them, find a gift. It’s always hiding in the silver lining.

If you don’t want to see it, then fine, you can stay stuck, or sad, or burdened. It’s normal to feel those feelings for a moment. By all means, I’m not saying I don’t get sad or down.

We are all human and I’m a big believer in feeling all our emotions. And I mean really feeling them! They are clues to help you get unstuck.

But the key is, you don’t have to stay stuck. We are given challenges for a reason. They make us stronger and there are always lessons to learn.

Sometimes those lessons are for you, and sometimes for others. We are all in this together and we have to help each other. You could be learning something now so that you can help someone later.

So, buck up and be ok with life's process…good, bad, and ugly. You can do this all the while knowing you too have a silver lined cloud hovering over you, bringing magical abilities to turn that frown upside down!
